Squad Encryption & Access SL only
🔒 No unit name field. SquadReady has nowhere to enter your unit, company, battalion, or any organizational designation — by design. Readiness data tied to an identifiable unit (who's deployable, who's medically non-deployable, manning levels) is meaningfully more sensitive than the same data with no unit context. Since the field doesn't exist, there's nothing here to ever expose, leak, or have to scrub later.
Encrypting your squad data means Firebase only ever stores ciphertext —
even Google cannot read your roster. The squad key never leaves your devices.
Squad Join Link
Add the member first using + Add member on the Roster panel, then generate a join link below and send it to them. Opening the link automatically connects their device to your squad — no manual setup, no copy-pasting config. Give them their callsign and PIN separately, in person or via Signal.
App Identity SL only
🔒 There is intentionally no unit name field anywhere in SquadReady. Readiness data tied to an identifiable unit is far more sensitive than the same data without it — removing the field removes the risk. See Configure → Squad Encryption & Access for more on the app's privacy design.
Tracked Fields SL only
Roster columns — SGLV, Medical, ACFT, etc. Add, rename, or remove any field. Changes apply to all members immediately.

Cloud Setup
Free Firebase backend — sync your squad data on demand
✓ Works fully offline right now. Steps below are optional — they let you sync data across all squad devices using the Sync button.
📡 This is manual, on-demand sync — not automatic background sync. Tap the Sync button (top of every screen) to pull the latest squad updates and push your own changes. Always sync when you first open the app each session to make sure you're working with current data. Submitting an update, sending a message, approving a request, or sending a broadcast also triggers a sync automatically.
☁ Cloud sync is built in — no accounts, no setup. Your squad's data is AES-256 encrypted on-device and stored on SquadReady's cloud; without your squad key it is unreadable, even by us. To get a squad online: the Squad Leader taps Sync once (this creates the squad's private space and starts the 14-day trial), then shares two things — the join link (Configure → Squad Encryption & Access) and the squad key below, in person or via Signal. New devices open the link, paste the key, sign in.
⚿ Squad Key
Your squad's data is encrypted. Every device needs the same key to read it.
The Squad Leader generates it once and shares the full 64-character key in person or via Signal — never through this app.
5
Share the app
Download this file and send to your squad via Signal, email, or group chat. On phone: Share → Add to Home Screen to install as an app icon. No app store needed.
6
Use the Sync button every time you open the app
Look for the blue ⟳ Sync button at the top of every screen once Cloud Sync is connected. Tap it when you first log in to pull the latest squad data, and again any time you want to check for updates. Submitting status updates, sending messages, approving requests, and sending broadcasts trigger a sync automatically — but routine browsing (checking the roster, reviewing tasks) does not, so tap Sync first if you want to be sure you're seeing the latest.

Computing…
Build and hash must match on every squad device. If they differ, that device is running a stale cached copy — clear its site data and reload before syncing.
